Bio
David Guerra is a graduate of Bradley University with a Bachelor’s Degree in political science, which included a semester studying in Washington, D.C. and interning with Congresswoman Cheri Bustos. He received his Juris Doctorate from Chicago-Kent College of Law along with a J.D. Certificate in Labor and Employment Law. At Chicago-Kent, David was a member of the Executive Board of the Chicago-Kent Law Review as well as a published author. He was also a Student Editor on the Employee Rights and Employment Policy Journal and active in many other student organizations. While in law school, David worked at the Office of the Chief Judge for the Circuit Court of Cook County before clerking at the Chicago-Kent Plaintiff’s Employment Law Clinic (C-K Law Group) and the Law Offices of Colleen McLaughlin. He became an associate of the firm in November 2023.
David is a Spanish speaker and has been admitted to practice in Illinois. As the son of hard-working Mexican immigrants, David is a strong advocate for working people and is proud to concentrate his practice on fighting for the rights of injured workers throughout Illinois. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA), the Chicago Bar Association (CBA), the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois (HLAI), and the Workers’ Compensation Lawyers Association of Illinois (WCLA).
