John R. Rizzo specializes in workers' compensation injury law. He has over 26 years of experience representing municipal employees, police and fire first responders, and union and non-union workers in all types of workplace injuries. His aggressive litigation techniques have resulted in significant trial decisions and favorable settlements for his clients.
Mr. Rizzo earned his B.A. in Political Science from Loyola University in 1990 and his Juris Doctorate from Creighton University in 1994.
Mr. Rizzo currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Illinois Workers' Compensation Lawyers Association. He is a chapter author for the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association workers' compensation manual. In addition, he is a frequent lecturer for the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, the Illinois Workers' Compensation Lawyers Association and the Lake County Bar Association. Mr. Rizzo served multiple terms as Chairman of the Workers' Compensation Section Committee of the Lake County Bar Association.
At present, Mr. Rizzo enjoys serving as the President of the Carmel Catholic High School Council for the Arts, which supports the performing arts programs of theater, dance, choral, and music. Mr. Rizzo has previously served as an elected school board member for a K-8 school district in Lake County, Illinois.
